Wednesday, 9/10

Today we begin our journey into the Medieval period. Geoffrey Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales” introduces us to characters from his time that are all on a journey/pilgrimage. They took part in a storytelling contest on their way to Canterbury.

Chaucer’s Tales starts off with a prologue that describes each character and gives us insight into how true feelings about each. Your mission is to take a character card and locate text that supports the mini bio provided for each character. With your shoulder partner you will need to help create a class Book of Pilgrims.
